thought…Don’t let your bad days win
You’re working towards a goal, whether it’s a new job,
exercising more, losing weight or something else. But you have an off day or a
day where you don’t do anything you planned to do towards your goal. You’re not
alone. We’ve all had those days. We’re human, and we will stumble when we’re
trying to change our lives. The
important thing is to not let those bad days win. What does that mean? It means don’t throw in the towel or give up
on your goal just because you had one bad day.
You’ve still made progress up until that day. Just pick yourself up, shake off the bad day
and keep going with your plan.
It’s ok that you didn’t check the job boards for a few days
while looking for a new job. It’s ok
that you didn’t go for a walk last night, or that you had a high-calorie
dessert. Don’t let that one bad action make you think you should give up. Remember you’re human and then keep
going. Start where you left off before
that bad day, and you’ll keep that progress going. I’m only too familiar with this scenario. I’ve
been hard on myself for not always checking the job boards to find that next
role even though I’m unemployed. But,
those bad days didn’t change my progress.
I keep going, keep applying and keep getting noticed. One of these days, the right job will come
along as long as I don’t quit.
Sometimes we need those bad days to give us a much-needed
break that we haven’t allowed ourselves to take. Just don’t let it derail you.
If you need someone to help you re-frame that bad day or who
will encourage you to keep going, Aha Moments Coaching is here to help. Find me
